Marketing Manager

We Are Tailored is a Melbourne-based house of beverage brands, home to FELLOW craft vodka, Melbourne Martini, Little Drippa, Mabel and Jerri, with a decade of building, manufacturing and white-labelling drinks for their own portfolio and for major Australian retailers.
 
They're hiring their first Marketing Manager own commercial growth and brand stewardship across their five priority owned brands, with FELLOW as the focus. You'll lead an existing three-person marketing team, manage agency and freelance partners and report directly to the CEO and current Head of Marketing consultant.

Based in Epping, Melbourne.
 
About the job
  • Own commercial growth on FELLOW (roughly 65% of your time), driving acquisition, velocity, retention and revenue across retail, on-premise and digital in a competitive category
  • Run performance across the wider portfolio: Little Drippa's NPD launch, Melbourne Martini's DTC growth, Mabel's on-premise build and Jerri's ongoing maintenance
  • Set and run the marketing operating rhythm (quarterly OKRs, weekly check-ins, monthly P&L variance)
  • Build, defend and reallocate the marketing P&L
  • Build out the marketing function itself, growing a fragmented part-time team into a foundational in-house team
  • Balance long-term brand investment with the short-term activation pressure of a sales-led business
  • Set and protect the brand voice across web, retail POS, trade, social, packaging and earned media
  • Lead a three-person team plus freelance and agency partners
About you
  • 5+ years growing a brand commercially in off-premise (liquor or grocery retail) or on-premise channels, with a solid understanding of retail buyer cycles and trade marketing
  • Digitally fluent. You've directed a Digital Marketer and held agencies to account across paid social, paid search, ecommerce and influencer
  • Experience building, defending and managing a marketing P&L with real line-item discipline
  • A proven people leader who's hired, developed and managed direct reports without becoming the bottleneck
  • Commercially literate beyond marketing craft — comfortable reading a P&L and holding your own with a Sales Director
  • Hands-on by nature. You're happy to brief, draft, edit and ship the work yourself when it needs doing
  • Beverage or drinks category experience is a bonus, not a requirement
